Allow me to gush about Lillian August!

I discovered Lillian August in the mid 80s when I subscribed to the original Victoria magazine and found myself tearing out every one of her ads to save "for future reference". I've been a loyal fan ever since. Even though her tastes have changed and developed - change is constant - our tastes have continued to grow in a similar direction. She is a master in the art of uniting charming, comfortable large furnishings with exciting, unique souvenirs and textiles from around the globe.
As she says about current design trends, "Basically it is all about the mix now, pairing different periods and styles. It’s a look that is focused on the individual rather than a specific style. There is this whole global influence that is happening, and people are showcasing accessories from all over the world—unusual, colorful, sculptural pieces." 
The one way we differ is her movement to feature less, to not have as much clutter in her rooms. As you can tell, I think more is more! But her rooms are still lessons in design perfection and those of us who love our homes, decorating, etc. can all learn from the following examples of The Best!
